15.5 Install batteries

• If an insulation strip is visible after unpacking the sensor, pull the strip to activate the batteries. In this case battery

installation is not necessary.

• AA/AAA batteries: When inserting batteries, observe the polarity indications inside the battery compartment if avail-

able.

• If the sensor no longer reacts, replace the batteries.

15.6 Placement

• The water leak sensor is protected against splash water from the top and can be used in bathrooms.

• Do not immerse the sensor in water.

• Only the metal pins on the underside of the sensor may sit in water.
