Instructions
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordi-
nance) to return all used batteries. Disposing of them in
the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries are labelled with this symbol to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden.
The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd =
Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries,
e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipali-
ty, our stores or wherever batteries are sold.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protec-
tion of the environment.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be
disposed of in the household waste. At the end of its ser-
vice life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them sepa-
rately from the product.
• If the radio receivers have a dimming function, read carefully its
operating instructions.
Range
• The wireless remote control has a range of up to 30 m.
However, this range is the so-called “free-eld range”
(range with line of sight between the transmitter and re-
ceiver and without interference).
In practical operation, however, there are walls, the ceil-
ings of rooms etc. between the transmitter and the receiv-
er which reduce the range correspondingly.
Due to the different inuences on the radio transmission,
no specic range can be guaranteed. However, trouble-free
operation is usually possible in a detached house.
The range can sometimes be limited considerably by:
- walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
- Coated / metal vapour deposition coated insulating glass
- Proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g. radiators)
- Proximity to human bodies
- Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (DECT tele-
phones, mobile phones, radio-controlled headphones, radio-con-
trolled speakers, radio-controlled weather stations, baby monitors
etc.)
- Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units,
computers
- proximity to badly shielded or uncovered computers in use or
other electrical appliances
b) Deletion of a previously saved receiver from the Mini Remote
Control
• Shift the radio receiver (e.g. a wireless incorporated switch, a ra-
dio-controlled socket, etc.) to the programming mode. Please refer to
the operating manual of the radio receiver (usually press the button
on the wireless receiver for more than 3 seconds, until the LED be-
gins to ash on the radio receiver).
In order for the (already assigned) radio receiver to be
deleted, switch to the learning mode by clicking the “ON”
and “OFF” buttons on the radio mini-remote control simul-
taneously for 3 seconds.
This can be uses for example, if a wireless switch for
panel mounting is inaccessible and you can not press its
buttons.
• Press the button in the battery compartment of the wireless remote
control (for at least 3 seconds), until the light stops ashing on the
radio receiver and goes out instead. When the load connected to
the radio receiver is turned off, the assigning mode is nished. The
wireless receiver will not respond to the radio controlled mini-remote
control.
c) Turning on/ off the radio receiver
• If it has not been done, you must rst programme a radio receiver
(e.g. a wireless incorporated switch or a radio-controlled socket) in
the RSL system of the wireless remote control. Make sure that the
radio receiver is ready-to-operate.
• Briey press the “ON” button to turn on the radio receiver and the con-
nected user.
• Briey press the “OFF” button to turn off the radio receiver and the con-
nected user.
Then place a type CR2032 battery inside, observing the correct
polarity. The plus pole of the button cells points from you outward.
• Place the housing cover and press the two halves together carefully
so that the retaining clips snap into place. Do not exert any force.
• The batteries need to be replaced if the range of the hand-held radio
transmitter is signicantly reduced or the control LED (1) no longer
lights when the buttons are used.
Operation
a) Programming a radio receiver to the wireless remote control
Up to 10 different remote controls can be assigned to each radio re-
ceiver of the RSL-system.
• Shift the radio receiver (e.g. a wireless incorporated switch, a ra-
dio-controlled socket or the like) to programming mode. Please refer
to the operating manual of the radio receiver (usually press the but-
ton on the wireless receiver for more than 3 seconds, until the LED
begins to ash on the radio receiver).
• Press the button in the battery compartment of the radio-opening
detector (at least 3 seconds), until the light stops ashing on the
radio receiver and remains lit instead. The load connected to the
radio receiver is switched on. Let go of the button and the associati-
on process will be complete. You can now turn off the radio receiver
from the radio mini-remote on / off button.
