7. Operation
a) Inserting/replacing batteries
It is possible to operate the temperature controller with rechargeable batteries.
However, the lower voltage (battery = 1.5 V, rechargeable battery = 1.2 V) causes the
operating duration and display contrast to reduce strongly.
Therefore, we recommend using only high-quality alkaline batteries instead of
rechargeable batteries.
Open the battery compartment on the rear of the temperature controller and insert two type
AAA/Micro batteries with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
All display segments will appear briey; then the digital clock will start up and the rst
measured value for temperature and humidity are displayed at the right.
Close the battery compartment again.
A battery change is required when the display contrast drops strongly. In case of
battery change, the programming is retained and you only need to set the time again.
b) Receiver (Radio Switching Socket)
Plug the receiver into a proper protective ground mains socket (wall outlet) of the public
mains.
Connect the desired consumer to the socket at the front of the receiver.
c) Setting the time
Pushthebutton“FUNC”brieyrepeatedlyuntil“CANCEL”appearsattheleftofthedisplay.
Keepthebutton“FUNC”pushed(approx.3seconds)untiltheweekdayashesinthedisplay
(above the time display).
Set the weekday or period with the buttons “+/ON” and “-/OFF”.
