7. Commissioning
• Plug the universal thermostat into a standard protective ground
mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
• The display then shows the temperature display (e.g. 22.0 °C)
and the time “0:00”.
If only crazy characters appear, push the recessed button
“RESET” (7) carefully with a toothpick or a paperclip.
• If the universal thermostat is disconnected from the mains volt-
age for an extended period, you need to re-set the date and
time. The remaining programming is retained.
If there is a shorter interruption of the mains voltage, the time
will be retained (e.g. when plugging the universal thermostat
into another mains socket).
• Install the temperature sensor (in the metal cap at the end of
the cable) at the desired position.
Attention!
The protection class IP68 applies only for the sensor or
cable but not for the housing of the universal thermo-
stat as such.
It must not become damp or wet. There is danger to life
from a fatal electric shock!
Place the cable sol that no moisture can run back along
the cable into the housing of the universal thermostat.
Fasten the temperature sensor or cable, e.g, with cable ties.
Make sure that the cables are not damaged by sharp edges.
