b) Function H2 “VALVE PROTECT”
When controlling an electrically powered heater valve, this func-
tion may help to prevent scale formation in the valve.
If the scale protection function was activated, the mains socket
of the universal thermostat is activated daily at 10:00 AM for 1 to
10 minutes (adjustable), independently of the respective present
programming.
Proceed as follows:
1. After selecting this function H2 “VALVE PROTECT” and con-
fi rming with “OK” (2), either “OFF” or a number between 1 and
10 fl ashes.
2. The scaling function can be set accordingly with the buttons
“–” (5) and “+” (6):
“OFF” = scale protection function off
“1”......“10” = Opening duration of the valve in minutes, scale
protection function on
3. Confi rm the setting with “OK” (2).
The universal thermostat is then in the previous menu for se-
lection of functions again.
To leave the menu and return to the regular display, push the
button “MENU” (3), repeatedly if required.
The function should only be activated if the universal
thermostat controls s suitable consumer.
