_When connecting to a came box or satellite box with onmy a few scrammed
channems
If you are using a cable box or satellite box with only a few scrambled channeis, follow the setup on this
page. If many or ai[ the channels are scramble&we recommend using the setup on the following page.
With this setup:
oYou can record any unscrambied channe[ by seHecqng the channe[ on the DVD recorder.
oYou cannot record scrammed channeis that reqore a came box or satellite box.

[]When connecting to a cable box or satellite box with many scrambled
channels
If many or ail the channels you receive by cable or satellite are scramble&we recommend using this setup.
With this setup:
oYou can record any unscrambled channel by selecting the channel on the cable box or satellite box. Be sure
that the cable box or satellite box is turned on.
oYou cannot record one channel while watching another channel.

Note to the Cable TV System Installer :
This reminder is provided to call the Cable TV system installer's attention to Article 820-40 of the
National Electrical Code, which provides guidelines for proper grounding - in particular, specifying that the
cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as dose to the point of cable
entry as possible.
