Getting started
Set the clock before you try the
timer recording. If a Public
Broadcasting Station (PBS)is available
in your area,follow Auto Clock
Setting below if not, follow Manua(
Clock Setting on pages 22-23.
Auto Clock Settin_
Make sure
" The antenna/CaMe TV connec-
tions are correct.
oIf this unit is connected to a
Cable Box or Satellite Box, select
the local PBS station on them to
set the clock automatically.

Press SETUP button to dis-
play SETUPIDiSC menu.
SETUP/DISC menu will appear.

tons, then press ENTER button.
SETUP menu will appear.

buttons, then press ENTER button.
Clock menu will appear.
Setup > Clock

Select "Auto Clock Setting"
using A /_ buttons, then
press ENTER button.
Option window will appear.

then press ENTER button.

using _ / _ buttons, then
press ENTER button.
Setup > Clock
AutoClock Settin,
Enter your PBS channel
number using Number or
I _ buttons, then press
ENTER button.

Press SETUP button to exit.

Press POWER button to turn
off the DVD recorder. This unit
will search for the time only
when the power is off. Leave it off
for several minutes to give this
unit time to set the clock on the
front display of the front panel.

The clock may set itself auto°
matically after you connect th(
antenna/cable signal to this
unit and plug in the power
cord. In this case_the current
time will appear on the front
display on the front panel.
The current time is not dis-
played or the displayed clock
is not correct, set the clock
manually.
