When you remove the scanner from the stand it operates in its normal hand-held mode (e.g., constant-on mode or trigger mode, depending on the model). 1. 2. 3. Insert scanner in stand. Scanner is not programmed for the correct bar code type. Be sure the scanner is programmed to read the type of bar code you are scanning. Bar code symbol is unreadable.
