About This Guide
Introduction
The PPT 2700 Series Product Reference Guide provides information about the PPT 2700
Series terminal and its accessories. The PPT 2700 Series includes the following variations of
the terminal:
PPT 2700: batch
PPT 274x: Spectrum24 radio
PPT 273x: Wide Area Network (WAN) terminals (GSM and CDPD).
Chapter Descriptions
Topics covered in this guide are as follows:
Chapter 1, Getting Started explains the physical buttons and controls on your PPT
2700 terminal, how to install and charge the batteries, start your PPT 2700 terminal
for the first time, and attach the handstrap.
Chapter 2, Operating the PPT 2700 explains how to use your terminal, including
instructions for powering on and resetting the terminal, entering information,
scanning, and using the stylus.
Chapter 3, Customizing Your PPT 2700 explains how to adjust settings on the
terminal, and add and delete programs.
Chapter 4, Communications explains how to use Microsoft® ActiveSync™ for
communications between the terminal and host PC.
Chapter 5, Applications describes how to use the Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes
and Inbox applications.
