Software Installation on Development PC
Introduction
To develop applications to run on the PPT 2700, the Symbol Software Developer’s Kit (SDK)
for the PPT 2700 Pocket PC is available. This SDK contains PPT 2700-specific software not
available in the standard Microsoft Windows CE Platform SDK.
The minimum system configuration required to install the SDK is:
IBM-compatible PC with Pentium 150 MHz processor or higher
Windows
®
98 second edition, or Windows
®
NT operating system version 4.0 with
Service Pack 5 or later, or Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system
24MB RAM for Windows 98, 32 MB RAM for Windows NT
100MB available hard disk space
CD-ROM drive
One available serial port
Mouse.
Also, be sure the drive you are installing to accepts long filenames (larger than the 8.3
filename convention).
