Move shoot delay
To reduce camera shake from unstable setups increase the Move Shoot Delay time. This is the
time your Genie will wait after moving and before it tells the camera to take a photo.
Bramping
Bulb ramping enables you to shoot time-lapses from day to night in situations where the light
changes drastically.
- Navigate to bramping and press the left or right buttons to turn bramping on.
- Press OK to enter the bramping settings.
- Set your first exposure to the shutter speed you would like to use for your first shot and set
the last exposure to the shutter speed you would like to use for your last shot.
Before starting your timelapse ensure your camera is switched to ‘bulb mode’. Please note that
most cameras fastest shutter speed in bulb mode is 1 second. Cameras such as the 5D Mark III
and some others can shoot as fast as 1/20 of a second in bulb mode.
HDR
- If your camera has HDR as a shooting setting then set it to this mode. If not then set your
camera up to take multiple exposures using its exposure bracketing function.
- Navigate to HDR and press the right arrow button to adjust the HDR signal time to match the
total sequence time of your camera. Ensure that the signal time value on the Genie is equal
to or more than all exposure times combined.
Ease In/Out

timelapse or video recording. Press the right button on the keypad to set how long the Genie will
‘ramp’ the movement for at the start and end of the move, these are real time (playback speed)
values.
