Product information | 1 Product information This manual includes the information required for installing the heat recovery unit type Topvex SC, TC manufactured by Systemair Sverige AB. The units include the following model options: The air handling units is delivered with airflow control CAV (Constant Air Volume).
2 | Overview 2 Overview This manual includes the information required. If other accessories not included at delivery are in use, read their separate instructions. The key to proper and safe operating is to read this manual thoroughly, use the air handling unit according to given guidelines and follow all safety requirements. 2.1 Intended use The air handling units are intended to provide ventilation and depending on settings, heat recovery, air heating or free cooling.
Unloading from trailer | 4 Unloading from trailer Warning • The unit is heavy. Be careful during transport and installation. Risk of injury through pinching. Use protective clothing. • Observe the centre of gravity during transportation. The air handling unit is fixed on a pallet. Topvex SC60, Topvex SC70, Topvex TC60, Topvex TC70, are delivered fixed on pallet in sections and secured with a packing belt. 4.
4 | Unloading from trailer 4.2 Using lifting frame Warning • Secure the lifting straps on the lifting bars. • Do not compress the air handling unit's chassi with the lifting straps. Use a lifting frame connected to lifting bars in the air handling unit's feet. For size Topvex SC20-Topvex SC35, Topvex TC20–Topvex TC35, place the lifting bars in the outer feet of the air handling unit. Topvex SC60, Topvex SC70, Topvex TC60, Topvex TC70 are placed in sections on a pallet.
Transport and storage | 5 Transport and storage Danger Do not loosen packing belt until the air handling unit is on location for installation! 5.1 Storage Store the unit covered from dust, rain and snow. Keep duct connections covered during storage and installation. 6 Unpacking Remove the plastic covering the air handling unit. NaviPad and one handle is packed on top of the unit.

Installation | 9 Installation Topvex SC, TC are meant for indoor installation. Place the unit preferably in a separate room (e.g. storage, laundry room, attic or similar). Verify that all ordered equipment are delivered before starting the installation. Report any deviation from the ordered equipment to the supplier of the Systemair products.
10 | Installation 9.1 Requirements for installation Warning • The unit is heavy. Be careful during transport and installation. Risk of injury through pinching. Use protective clothing. • Connect the ducts or provide with protection to prevent access to the fans through the duct connections. Level the floor surface. It’s important that the air handling unit is completely levelled before it is put into operation. Use the enclosed mounting feet if needed. Adjust the air handling unit's doors if needed.
Installation | Location for installation • Place the outdoor air duct in the northern or eastern side of the building, away from other exhaust outlets. • Make sure inspection doors are accessible for maintenance. • Free space for opening of doors and taking out components for service (see dimension drawing). • Avoid placing the unit against a wall. If not possible, insulate carefully. Electrical • Do not cut the mains power supply to the unit if installed in an colder area.
12 | Installation 9.2 9.2.1 Transport through a standard door Remove front doors and back side on Topvex SC/TC20-35 Remove the front doors and back side on units Topvex SC/TC20-35 for transportation through a smaller door opening. See respective dimension drawing for dimensions, chapter 14. Caution We advice minimum two persons to remove the back side and the front doors. Remove front doors 1. Remove the hinge covers with a screwdriver. 2. Remove the hinge pin with a bradawl. 3. Remove the doors. Fig.

14 | Installation 9.2.2 Disassembly size SC 60-70, TC 60-70 Disassemble the middle section for transport through smaller openings (min 900 mm). Heaviest part is the heat exchanger: 48 kg x 2. Table 2 Tools required Allen key, 8 mm (5/16"), torx 20, screwdriver, drive pin punch Warning • Follow the instruction carefully. • Do only perform disassembly if your technical knowledge is sufficient. • More than one person is needed to disassembly safely. Stand on stable ground when disassembly.

16 | Installation Remove middle door beams 8. Loosen the screws on the door beams (6 screws on front and 6 screws on the back) and remove the beams. Remove the roof 9. Remove the cabling from the roof part. 10.Loosen and remove the 8 screws for the roof's outer beams. 11.Remove the roof. Warning The roof part is bulky, two person is needed. 12.For weight reduction; remove the upper partition wall (remove bunch band anchors for cabling).
Installation | Remove the beams 13.Loosen and remove the 8 screws for the floor on the outer beams. 14.Loosen and remove the 8 screws on the reinforcement struts.
18 | Installation 15.Remove the beams. 16.Possible to disassembly the beams further. Remove the heat exchanger Caution • Handle the heat exchanger with care. • The heat exchanger is heavy. 17.Remove the heat exchanger and bypass.
Installation | 9.2.3 Assembly of Topvex SC60, Topvex SC70 Attach the heat exchanger Caution • Handle the heat exchanger with care. • The heat exchanger is heavy. 1. Carefully place the heat exchanger and bypass on the bottom plate. Fasten the beams 2. Fasten the beams with the 8 screws on the reinforcement struts.
20 | Installation 3. Fasten the floor’s 8 screws on the outer beams. Fasten the roof Warning The roof part is bulky, two person is needed. 4. Fasten the roof's outer beams with 8 screws. 5. Fasten the cabling to the roof.
Installation | Fasten the door beams 6. Fasten the door beams (6 screws on front and 6 screws on the back). Fasten the rail holding the partition wall 7. Fasten the bolts holding the rail on the opposite side of the partition wall.
22 | Installation Fasten the damper 8. Insert the damper in the area above the exchanger. Caution Do not drag the damper on the exchanger. 9. Lift the damper with the short end on the rail at the outer beams. Observe the small hooks to secure the damper. 10.Fasten the damper by fastening the damper rails with the bolts. Mount the doors 11.Place the doors in position. 12.Unite the hinges and replace the pin.
Installation | 13.Unite the parts of the air handling unit using a pallet lift. 14.Open the middle doors and section doors. 15.Remove the filters for easy access. 16.Use an allen key on the side of the 8 connectors, to lock the unit's sections. Make sure to use the enclosed washers (1). x8 1 Fig.
24 | Installation 17.From the inside, attach the quick connection cables between the sides and middle section, figure 7. Cables are marked to facilitate correct connections. Note: Observe the cable markings. Fig.
Installation | 9.3 Connect the condensation drain Connect the drainage pipe and drain trap on the exhaust air side at the bottom of the unit, figure 8. Cut the drainage pipe to required height, see table 3. Note: When installed in a non heated place the drain pipe and trap needs to be insulated well to prevent the water from freezing. 26 | Installation 9.4 Install the supply air sensor Install the delivered supply air sensor in the supply air duct. Connect the supply air sensor to the control unit CU27-C located in the Access control cabinet. Connect according to below table. All other temperature sensors are built in to the unit from factory. Installation | 9.7 Installation of roof (only Topvex SC ODK versions) Corner brackets, side brackets, roof parts including sheet metal screws for outdoor installation are enclosed at delivery. Fig. 10 1. Place the corner and side brackets on top of the air handling unit. Position the roof to make sure the side brackets are in correct position. Use the side bracket as a template and mark the position. Fasten the brackets with the enclosed screws. 2 1 Fig. 11 2.

Use the side brackets as a template and mark the position. Fasten the brackets with the enclosed screws. Fasten the roof parts (1), (2), (3) to the brackets, observing the bending on the inner edges of the middle roof part (3).
Electrical connections | 10 Electrical connections Danger • Disconnect the mains power supply to the unit before performing any maintenance or electrical work! • Carry out all electrical connections in accordance with local rules and regulation. Electrical connections must be carried out by an authorized installer. Warning The unit must not be put into operation before all the electrical safety precautions have been read and understood. 10.
30 | Electrical connections 230V 3~ 1 400V 3~/230V 1~ 2 Fig. 15 1. 230V 3~ air handling units have a red jumper, L2 is connected to N. 2. 400V 3~/230V 1~ air handling units have a gray jumper, N is connected to N. For detailed information, see the air handling units wiring diagram. 10.2 Electric heating coil Mains power supply to electric heating coil is connected from factory.
Connection of water heating coil | 11 Connection of water heating coil Caution Take care not to damage the water battery when connecting water pipes to connectors. Remove the cable grommet and connect the water piping to the female threaded connections. Use a spanner to tighten the connection. The arrows in the figure display the in- and outlet of the hot water. Fig.
32 | Access control system 12 Access control system Complete control solution with Access control cabinet containing the control unit CU27–C and NaviPad control panel for monitoring and adjusting of the air handling unit’s settings. 12.1 Access control cabinet Danger Disconnect the mains power supply to the unit before moving the Access control cabinet or opening the cabinet's lid. Warning Before obtaining access to terminals, all supply circuits must be disconnected.

Fig. 19 12.3 NaviPad control panel NaviPad is the control panel for Systemair's air handling units and contains several selectable languages. NaviPad is not for outdoor mounting. The protection class of the NaviPad control panel is IP54 and permitted temperature is 0-50° C.
34 | Access control system 12.3.1 Connect NaviPad Open the Access control cabinet figure 18. Unscrew the connection lid (1) and pull up the lid and comb with plugs that seals the connection area. Brake loose the plug required to connect NaviPad (2). This also apply for other connections to the control unit. Connect NaviPad to the HMI port in the control unit in Access control cabinet. Lead the NaviPad cable in the cable clips (2) and fasten with a cable tie to the strain relief (3).
Access control system | 12.3.2 Mount NaviPad holder NaviPad control panel including 3 m cable, holder and screws for mounting are enclosed at delivery. Wall mounting is also possible, use fastenings suitable to the wall’s structure. Mount the holder on suitable location, max distance from control unit 100 m. Use the holder as a drilling template (1). Possible to fasten the NaviPad's cable on the holder's hook (2). Fig.
