Circular Fire Dampers | 3 / 16 1396 - CPD - 0050 Description Fire dampers represent passive fire protection with the help of compartmentalization to prevent the spread of toxic gases, smoke and fire. All our standard fire dampers are designed and certified in accordance with the EIS test criteria according to EN 1366 – 2. A fire damper together with its installation form an inseparable part of the fire resistivity rating. PKI-C fire dampers are designed for installations listed on pages 6 through 10.
/ 16 | Circular Fire Dampers Design Fire dampers have casings made from galvanized sheet metal. Blades are made from non-asbestos insulants and an intumescent seal, that expands in a fire situation. Material Composition The product contains galvanized sheet metal, calcium silicate board, graphite fire-proof laminate, polyurethane foam. These are processed in accordance with local regulations.

/ 16 | Circular Fire Dampers Dimensions Installation Distances According to the EN 1366-2 standard, the minimum distance from the wall or ceiling to the duct that holds the PKI-C is 75 mm. For multiple crossings through a fire resistive wall, the minimum distance between two ducts that hold the PKI-C is 200 mm. Circular Fire Dampers | 9 / 16 Accessories PRC-PKIC-DN Cover Plates Description Cover plates are intended for the installation of fire dampers with a fire resistivity up to EI120S. They provide the cover for insulation filling, which can be made from lower density mineral wool. Cover plates are obligatory for dry installation! Design Ordering Code The cover plates are made from calcium silicate boards with a thickness of 10 mm. Shape and dimensions are shown in Fig. 4.
/ 16 | Circular Fire Dampers TVK-PKIC-DN Flexible Duct Coupling Description A flexible coupling for easier accessibility during inspections is placed directly behind the built-in duct to the side where the damper blades open. Design The flexible duct coupling consists of two duct connections (1) with rubber seals (2), flexible textile material between duct connections (3) and en electric cable (4) that serves as a conductive bridge for both connections.
