1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Description & Certification 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 The supplier shall provide a vertical classroom unit ventilator with an up-flow design. An exterior wall-mounted unit will not be acceptable. A Changeair unit ventilator manufactured by Systemair Commercial AHU Ltd. shall be complete and factory finished. Internal design including fresh air intake and condensing fan relief shall be such that all exterior wall penetrations will be above 35” from the finished floor level.

Heating 2.2 a. Hot Water Coil: (Supplementary if Heat Pump) The unit shall be supplied with a hot water coil constructed of seamless drawn copper tubes mechanically expanded into die-formed fin collars of tempered, corrugated aluminum fin stock, assuring a positive bond for optimal heat transfer and the prevention of electrolytic action. The coil shall be supplied with a manual air vent and drain plug. The coil shall be sized to provide the required heating capacity as shown in the schedule.

OR b. Electric Heat Elements: (Supplementary OR Auxiliary - If Heat Pump) i. Two-Stage: The unit shall be equipped with two-stage electric resistance heating to provide the total heating requirements at the input voltage per the schedule. Each coil will be energized independently on a demand for heat from the two-stage thermostat or unit controller. OR ii.

Drain pan 2.6 a. The stainless steel metal drain pan shall be designed with both front to back and side to side slope to the primary drain outlet eliminating any standing water in the pan. OR b. Insulated Drain Pan: The stainless steel metal insulated drain pan shall be designed with both front to back and side to side slope to the primary drain outlet eliminating any standing water in the pan. The drain pan shall be coated with closed-cell insulation. 2.

2.15 ERW Filters: Each unit shall be equipped with a permanent washable electrostatic filter for filtration of both air streams, the return air from a room and the outside air to the energy recovery wheel. Dampers 2.16 a. Standard Ventilation (VP): • The ventilation damper shall be an insulated galvanized damper operated by zero maintenance and concealed linkage. The outside blade edge and jamb seals shall be of the pressure-sensitive type for low leakage.

All peripheral devices required must be preapproved and must be shipped with the controller. The factory is not responsible for programming, addressing or sequence of operations. The factory will network with the controls supplier to determine wiring connections and the location of peripherals.

7. (OPTIONAL) ACCESSORIES Exterior Louvers and Wall Sleeve 7.1 An exterior, weather-resistant louver shall be (2” OR 4” deep) aluminum with a standard powder coat paint finish from the manufacture’s standard color list (Bronze OR Gray) OR standard finish (Clear anodized OR Mill finish). Louver shall be lined with ½” galvanized bird screen mesh. Louver size and design shall be matched to the model to provide proper ventilation air intake ensuring no water ingress and room air exhaust. 7.
