windows, lighting and especially HVAC. With many schools still in good structural

condition, many just need equipment to meet today’s standards.

The challenge with HUVs is their insufficient distribution of air for thermal comfort, noisy sound levels and lack of energy recovery for ventilation (and to meet building code).

Turning HVAC in classrooms right-side-up |3 New openings for the louvers were created to accommodate a fully packaged AC system (no need for condensing units on roof or wall hung). In order to divert exhaust air over these elevated sill heights, base pedestals were used to eliminate the need for a rear plenum thus optimizing classroom space.
