11.1.1.3 Byron Radio – Below Ground
When installing below ground, first confirm the Cockatoo radio transmission can penetrate the
intended pit lid or covering. This can be achieved by positioning a Taggle High Power Survey
tag temporarily in the desired location whilst it is transmitting.
Positioning of antenna to influence signal strength
The examples below are in meter pits with the top row being a side view and bottom row of
image being a top-down view.
