4 Installation
This section describes how to install the Medio L40 reader.
4.1 Mechanical Aspects
The Medio L40 is delivered six slots allowing easily fastening off the reader on your system. Please

4.2 Cabling Requirements
2-ways Male connector mounted on board can accept these references of 2-ways female
connectors (2 ways, 3.81mm):

- 691361300002 (Serie 361 WR-TBL)
Please refer to section 3.3.1 Front Panel to identify the power supply connector.
 Connect your power supply to the provided 2-ways connector respecting the wiring
described above.
Before plugging the connector to the reader, verify the polarity. Reverse polarity may
damage the reader.
 Connect the reader to the host system using one of the available interfaces (USB, RS-232
or Ethernet),
 Connect one or several antennas to reader channels.
 Connect the power supply to the mains supply.
