4.3.2 Internet Explorer Users
Windows 8 and
Internet Explorer
For Windows 8, before following the procedure listed below for installing
the certificate, you should make the SCADA gateway a trusted site:
1. Open Internet Options from the Control Panel.
2. Select the Security tab.
3. Click ‘Trusted sites’ then click the Sites button.
4. Add the SCADA gateway’s IP address to Trusted Sites.
5. Apply and close Internet Options.
6. Open Internet Explorer then follow the process.
After installing the certificate, the SCADA gateway’s IP address can be
removed from your Trusted Sites list.
Installing the
Certificate
If Internet Explorer is used, the following window appears when the user
tries to access the SCADA gateway WebUI for the first time:
1. Click ‘Continue to this website (not recommended)’. A notification
appears at the top of the browser window:
