2 Before using your radio
Once you have unpacked your radio, there are a few
tasks you must do before you can use it. The most
important of these is to charge your battery for the first
time — allow 2.5 hours for this.
Warning Do not charge the battery or change the
antenna in a hazardous location. An explosion could
cause serious injury or death.
