Checking the version of your radio using the PTT key
1.Turnofftheradio.
2.HolddownthePTTkeyandturnontheradio.
Thefirmwareandhardwareversions,andyourradio’sfrequencybandisbrieflydisplayed.

Theonlyradiomaintenancerequiredisensuringthebatteryhassufficientchargeandthattheantennaandbatteryare
notdamaged.

withdetergents,alcohol,aerosolsprays,orpetroleum-basedproducts.

Cleaning the Radio
Risk of permanent damage to the radio housing! Do not clean the radio with
solvents or alcohol based products. This includes (but is not limited to) ethylene
glycol (antifreeze), propanone (acetone), ethanol (methylated spirits), isopropyl
alcohol, and pool chlorine (calcium hypochlorite).
To clean the radio:
1.Usealint-free,dryclothtoremovesurfacedirt,oil,orgrease.
2.Useanalcohol-free,antibacterialwipetodisinfecttheradio.
Notice Risk of internal damage!Toavoiddamagingtheinsideoftheradio,donotallowexcess
liquidtoentertheradiobody(speakergrille,keypad,buttons,andconnectors).
3.Useawater-dampened,lint-free,microfibreclothtoremoveanyremainingdirt.
4.Ifthedampclothisineffective,dilutea(5to10%)solutionofalcohol-freedishwashingliquidinclean
water,onacloth,toremoveremainingdirt.
