Forastatusmessageoratextmessage,selectViewtoreadthemessage,Replytoreply,orCallto
returnthecall.
Theradiomaybealsoprogrammedtoautomaticallyviewthefullstatusupdateortextmessageonreceipt.
Selectedcallormessages,orallqueuedcallsandmessagescanallbedeleted.
Call Alert
ThisfeatureisavailableforDMRdigitalchannelsonly.
Userscanletotherradiousersknowtheywishtocommunicatebysendingthemacallalertpage.Whentheother
radiouserreceivesthecallalertpage,theycancallbackwhenitisconvenient.
IfonaDMRconventionalchannel,userscansendacallalerttoanyotherradioonthesameDMRconventionalchan-
nel.
To send a call alert page:
1.PressMenuandselectServices>Call alert.
UserscanalsosendacallalertfromtheOptions >Servicesmenuofanaddressbookentry.
2.Ifanaddressbookisconfigured,it'spossibletoeitherselecttoeitherdialanumberorshowtheaddress
book.Otherwiseapresetlistofradioswillappear.
3.Selectthedesiredradiotopage.
4.PressSend to.
Amessageappearsinthedisplay.TheLEDglowsredandamessagewillbedisplayedtoadvisewhetherthe
callalerthasbeensentsuccessfullyornot.
Ifanacknowledgmentisnotreceivedfromtherecipient’sradio,userswillhavetheoptionofeithercancelingor
resendingtherequest.
Answering a Call Alert Page
Ifacallalertpageisreceivedfromanotherradiouser,themessageCall alertandthenameofthecallerappearson
thedisplay.
SelectCalltoreturnthepageorCleartodeleteit.Ifthecallalertpageismissed,acallalertentryisaddedtothe
queue.SeeCheckingtheQueue.
