Wearing the Headset
Headsetscomeasanover-the-headaccessory,orasaremotespeakermicrophone.
Withaheadsetwornoverthehead,placeitontheear.Dependingonwhicheartheheadsetwillbeworn,simply
adjusttheearhookaccordingly.
To get the best performance from the headset:
1.Donotblockthedevice’sinternalantenna(seethedevice’suserdocumentation).Thehumanbodycan
interferewithaBluetoothsignal.
2.Iftheradioisusedwiththerighthand,weartheover-the-headheadsetontherightear.
3.Avoidcomingincontactwiththeinternalantennaofaheadsetorradio.
4.Whenusingaremotespeakermicrophonewithactivenoisecancellationturnedon,theRSMshouldbe
turnedtowardthemouthwhenspeaking.
Pairing and disconnecting a wireless headset with the radio
Beforeattemptingtoconnectawirelessheadset,Taitrecommendsthattheheadsetisfullycharged.
Refertotheheadsetinstallationinstructionsforcharginginstructions.
PairingcreatesauniqueandencryptedwirelesslinkbetweentheBluetooth-capableradio,andtheBluetoothheadset.
Touseaheadsetwitharadio,thedevicesmustfirstbepaired.
Whenconnectingtoawirelessheadsetforthefirsttime,instructtheradiotosearchforcompatibleheadsetsusing
Bluetoothwirelesstechnology.Thesearchshouldtakelessthanoneminute.
To pair a wireless headset with the radio:
1.Turnontheradio.
2.Putthewirelessheadsetintopairingmode.
3.PressMenuandselectWireless headset>Find new devices.
TheNew devicesmenuopens,andwhiletheradiosearchesforthenewdevice,themessage
Searching ...appears.
4.SelectConnectwhentherequiredaccessoryappearsinthelistofnewdevices,thenYestoaddthe
headsettoMy Headsets.
