Changing the Network
Theradiomaybeprogrammedtooperateinuptofourcompletelyseparatetrunkingnetworks,eitherDMR(digital),
MPT(analog)orboth(dualmode).Usersmaywishtochangenetworksbecausetheyareoutofthenetworkcoverage
area,ortheyneedtohaveaccesstoanothertrunkingnetwork.
Tochangetheradio’soperatingnetwork,usersmaybeabletoeitherusethemainmenuordialthenewnetworkusing
thealphanumerickeys.
Changingtheradio’sworkgroupmayalsochangethenetworkinwhichusersareoperating.
Using the Main menu
1.PressMenuandselectChange network.
2.IntheChange networkmenu,scrollthroughthelistofnetworksuntilthedesirednetworkappears.
3.PressSelect.
Theradiowillrestartanddisplaythenameofthenewnetwork.
Dialing a new network
Thisfeatureisonlyavailableforradioswithalphanumerickeys.
1.Dial*700#todisplaythenameofthecurrenttrunkednetwork.
2.Dial*70n#tochangetoanewnetwork,wherenisthenumberofthenewnetwork(1to4).
Theradiowillrestartanddisplaynameofthenewnetwork.
Making a Call Using an Address Book
TheAddress bookmenuprogrammedfortheradiomaycontaincallstootherradios,toPABXextensionsorto
PSTNnumbers.
Addressbookcallsmayalsobeusedtosendstatusinformation,suchas“atlunch”or“onsite”.Formoreinformation,
see"Usingtheaddressbook".
1.PressMenuandselect Address book.
2.IntheAddress bookmenu,scrollthroughthelistofcallsuntilthedesiredcallappears.
3.PressOptions and Call,orpressPTT.
Thecalldetailsappearonthedisplay,theLEDglowsred,andthetwozig-zagarrowsappearonthedisplay.
