Using the Main menu
1.PressMenuandselectGo to homegroup.
2.PressSelect,andtheradionowshowsthehomegroupinthedefaultdisplay.
Using function keys
Usersmaybeabletousefunctionkeystogototheirhomegrouportotogglebetweenthehomegroup,andthe
currentlyselectedzoneandworkgroup.
•Pressthefunctionkeyprogrammedtogotothehomegroup.
Theradionowshowsthehomegrouponthedefaultdisplay.
•Pressthefunctionkeyprogrammedtotogglebetweenthehomegroupandthecurrentlyselectedzoneand
workgroup.
Theradionowshowsthehomegrouponthedefaultdisplay,alongwiththehomegroupicon.
Thehomegroupicononlyappearsifusingafunctionkeytotogglebetweenthehomegroupandthecur-
rentlyselectedzoneandworkgroup.
Scanning workgroups
The‘MyWorkgroups’listcomprisesthecurrentworkgroup,thehomegroup,andotherprogrammedgroups.When
scanningisactive,theradiowillreceiveactivityfromanysubscribedgroupsintheMyWorkgroupslist.
To activate scanning:
1.PressMenuandselectScanning.
2.ScrolltoOn(orOff)andpressSelect.
About Emergency Operation
Inanemergency,usersmaybeabletosummonhelpbysendinganemergencycall.Aftermakingthecall,theradio
maybeprogrammedtoenteremergencymode.Whileemergencymodeisactive,theradiomaycyclebetween
receiveandtransmit,sothatthedispatcherorthecalledpartycanhearanyactivityneartheradio.
Onmostnetworks,anemergencycalltakesprecedenceoverothercalltypes,andexistingcallsarecleareddownso
thattheemergencycallcanproceed.
Tomakeanemergencycallfromaradio,usersmaybeabletoeither:
•useafunctionkeyprogrammedforemergencymode
•makeanemergencycallusing
• theaddressbook(seeMakingaCallUsingtheAddressBook)
• aworkgroup(seeMakingacalltoaworkgroup)
• apreset(seeMakingaPresetCall)
•dialtheemergencycallusingthealphanumerickeys
