4 Hardware Installation
This chapter provides the following information:
• Preparing for Installation
• Installing one or more StorageLibrary Product(s) in a Rack
• Removing the Transport Locking Screws
• Mounting the Rack Mount Ears
• Installing the Library Cables
• Labeling Cartridges for the Barcode Reader
Caution
You must remove the transport locking screws when powering up the unit
for the first time, or it will not operate.
Caution
The StorageLibrary T40+ has blanking plates on the top and bottom cover. Do NOT
remove any blanking plates before instructed to do so. Some of the blanking plates
are removed if two or more units are used in a Pass-Thru system.
