HDMI Audio
Here you set the digital audio output in the HDMI connecter. You can choose between SPDIF and PCM.
Please notice that this setting must match the specifications of your system.
PCM: The standard setting is PCM which matches most TV sets. The PCM setting only enables stereo sound
in the HDMI connecter.
SPDIF: The SPDIF setting enables multi channel sound in the HDMI connecter. This feature is used if you are
connecting the HDMI output of the MCS-650 to a surround receiver or surround processor.
Audio Setup
The Audio setup enables you to make adjustments on the two digital audio outputs (Optical and Coaxial) on
the rear panel of the MCS-650.
SPDIF Output
Here you can adjust the digital outputs on the rear panel.
Off: Turns off the digital outputs
SPDIF/RAW: This setting makes sure the data in the digital outputs are exactly the same as the data on the
source playing.
SPDIF/PCM: This setting limits the sampling rate of the digital output to PCM (Stereo)
