REGULATOR SERIES INFORMATION
Series 740 includes models like T741, T742, T742HP, and T742HP. All of these regulators are
beer, primary regulators for use with CO2. They are made to dispense beer at pressures up
to 50lbs (safety blow off pressure is 60±5psi); most lager type beers are dispensed at 12-
14psi. Most of these regulators have a 5/16” barb outlet tting. The standard 740 regulator
comes with a grey bonnet cap; “HP” models come with a red bonnet cap.
Series 1660 includes models like T1661ST, T1672STC-02, T1683ST-2N, and T1694STWMK.
All of these models are beer, secondary regulators. Beer secondary regulators can be
used with either CO2, Nitrogen, or blended “beer gas”. They are made to dispense beer
at pressures up to 50lbs (safety blow off pressure is 60±5psi); most lager type beers are
dispensed at 12-14psi.) Most of these regulators have a 5/16” barb outlet tting. 1600 series
regulators have a gold bonnet cap.
Series 5740 includes models like T5741PMHPBK, T5752HP-01, and T5754WMHP-TAY. All of
these models are primary regulators for use with CO2. They can be used with either beer
or soda dispense; most sodas and some beers require dispense pressures that exceed the
60psi rating of the 740 and 1600 series. They are made to dispense beverages at pressures
up to 120psi (safety blow off pressure is 130±4psi). Most of these regulators have a ¼” are
outlet tting. 5700 series regulators may have red, black, or blue bonnet caps.
Series 5260 includes models like T5261ST, T5272SNG, and T5283SN. All of these models
are soda, secondary regulators. They are made to dispense beverages at pressures up to
120psi (safety blow off pressure is 130±4psi). Most of these regulators have a ¼” are outlet
tting. 5200 Series regulators come with blue, black, or gold bonnets.
Series 3740 includes models like 3741, 3741-BR, and 3752. These are all primary regulators
designed for use with CO2. They are primarily designed for use with soda, but models
3741E, 3741-BR are designed for use with beer. Their maximum dispense pressures and
outlet ttings depend on whether they are for beer or soda. Series 3000 regulators all have
small, black, zinc bonnets.
Series 5740 and 740 regulators that do not begin with “T”, like 742N, 742HPN, 5741PMHPN,
and 5741PMHPNT, are all primary, beer regulators designed for use with Nitrogen. Their
maximum dispense pressure depends on their series. Their outlet ttings may be either
barbs or are ttings. All regulators for use with Nitrogen have large, black, zinc bonnets.
The zinc bonnet is required for the higher tank pressure seen with Nitrogen.
