HOW DO I SET A REGULATOR? Once the regulator is securely attached to the gas cylinder and the coupler attached to the keg: With the shutoff valve on the regulator closed, open the valve on the gas cylinder completely. The handle on the shutoff should be perpendicular to the tubing. With your fingers or a pair of pliers, loosen the adjustment nut, allowing the screw to be turned. Turn the screw counterclockwise until it can no longer be turned.
TAPRITE ADVANTAGE: REGULATORS 15 Many of our clients often ask us, “What does Taprite’s regulator have that others’ don’t?” Well, not to toot our own horn, but Taprite brand regulators are superior to many regulators in the industry for several reasons. Here’s a few: 1. The most obvious to spot is that the Taprite Regulator has a hand dial (red circular dial in the center of the regulator) as opposed to the other regulators having a screw driver dial.
REGULATOR SERIES INFORMATION Series 740 includes models like T741, T742, T742HP, and T742HP. All of these regulators are beer, primary regulators for use with CO2. They are made to dispense beer at pressures up to 50lbs (safety blow off pressure is 60±5psi); most lager type beers are dispensed at 1214psi. Most of these regulators have a 5/16” barb outlet fitting. The standard 740 regulator comes with a grey bonnet cap; “HP” models come with a red bonnet cap.
