4 – Recording
Making word/video connector
settings
Settings can be made for the WORD/VIDEO IN and WORD/
VIDEO THRU/OUT connectors.
1. Select the
WORD/VIDEO SETUP
item on the
GENERAL
page to open the
WORD/VIDEO SETUP
screen. (See “Menu operation procedures” on page 16.)
2. Set the word clock output signal.
Option Meaning
WORD OUT/
TERM-ON
(default)
Set the signal output from the
WORD/VIDEO OUT/THRU
connector to WORD OUT, and
turn WORD/VIDEO IN connector
termination resistance (75Ω) on.
WORD OUT/
TERM-OFF
Set the signal output from the
WORD/VIDEO OUT/THRU
connector to WORD OUT, and
turn WORD/VIDEO IN connector
termination resistance (75Ω) off.
THRU OUT/
TERM-OFF
Set the signal output from the
WORD/VIDEO OUT/THRU
connector to THRU output of the
signal from the WORD/VIDEO
IN connector, and turn WORD/
VIDEO IN connector termination
resistance (75Ω) off.
3. Confirm the setting and return to the Menu Screen.
Setting the reference level
You can set the analog input and output headroom (difference
between the maximum and reference levels).
1. Select the
REFERENCE LEVEL
item on the
GENERAL
page to open the
REFERENCE LEVEL
screen. (See
“Menu operation procedures” on page 16.)
2. Set the reference level.
Option Meaning

+6dBu standard level, +15dBu maximum level
-14dB
+4dBu standard level, +18dBu maximum level
-16dB
+4dBu standard level, +20dBu maximum level
-18dB
(default)
+4dBu standard level, +22dBu maximum level
-20dB

3. Confirm the setting and return to the Menu Screen.
Setting input monitoring
Turn input monitoring off before playing back recordings.
Audio input through jacks for channels that have input
monitoring on will be output from the unit's audio output jacks.
1. Select the
INPUT MONITOR
item on the
GENERAL
page to open the
INPUT MONITOR
screen. (See “Menu
operation procedures” on page 16.)
2. Set the input monitoring mode.
Options:
ALL ON
: Turn input monitoring on for all channels
ALL OFF
(default): Turn input monitoring off for all
channels
Individual
: Allow input monitoring to be turned
on/off for specific channels individually or all at once
3. Confirm the setting and return to the Menu Screen.
