TC GENERATOR MODE
This shows the timecode generator mode.
Select the
TC GENERATOR MODE
item, and press the
MULTI JOG dial to open the
TC GENERATOR MODE
screen.
GENERATOR MODE
item
This sets the internal timecode generator mode.
Option Meaning
FREE RUN
(default)
The timecode generator runs by itself
from the START TIME.
FREE ONCE
After capturing the input timecode
once, the generator runs by itself from
the captured timecode in free run mode.
TIME OF
DAY
After capturing the time from the
built-in clock when one of the following
operations is conducted, the generator
runs by itself in free run mode.
i Turning the unit on
i Changing the mode to TC GEN MODE
i Resetting the built-in clock
JAM SYNC
The generator synchronizes to timecode
when it is being input. If timecode input
stops, the generator runs by itself in free
run mode.
REGEN
The generator synchronizes to the input
timecode.
REC RUN
The timecode generator runs only
during recording. The timecode
generator stops when not recording.
TC SYNC
REC
Recording starts when the unit synchro-
nizes with external TC, and recording
pauses when synchronization with the
external TC is lost.
When set to
TC SYNC REC
mode,
the TC indicator on the Home Screen
lights/blinks red. For details, see the TC
indicator explanation in 8 Timecode
status on “Home Screen on page 12.
NOTE
Set this unit and the TC to use the
same frame types.

TC FRAME TYPE
This shows the timecode frame type.
Select the
TC FRAME TYPE
item, and press the MULTI JOG
dial to open the
TC FRAME TYPE
screen.
FRAME TYPE
item
This sets the timecode frame type.

TC OUTPUT MODE
This shows the timecode output mode.
Select the
TC OUTPUT MODE
item, and press the MULTI
JOG dial to open the
TC OUTPUT MODE
screen.
OUTPUT MODE
item
This sets the timecode output mode.
Option Meaning
Generator Out
Output the timecode of the
built-in timecode generator.
Play Out
(default)
This outputs the timecode
contained in the file.
