12 – Troubleshooting
If you are having trouble with the operation of this unit, please
try the following before seeking repair.
If these measures do not solve the problem, please contact the
store where you bought the unit or TEAC customer support (see
back page).
8
The unit will not turn on.
•
Confirm that the power plug and other connectors are
inserted completely.
8
The media is not recognized.
•
Confirm that the SSD/HDD case or USB flash drive is
inserted completely.
8
Playback is not possible.
•
If you are trying to play a WAV file, confirm that it uses a
sampling frequency (44.1/48/88.2/96kHz) and a bit depth
(16/24-bit) that are supported by this unit.
8
No sound is output.
•
Check connections with the monitoring system again.
Check the volume of the amplifier as well.
•
If you cannot hear the input signal, turn the
INPUT
MONITOR
screen setting on.
•
If you cannot hear the playback signal, turn the
INPUT
MONITOR
screen setting off.
8
Recording is not possible.
•
Check connections with other equipment again.
•
Check the audio source level.
•
Confirm that recording is enabled for the necessary
channels.
•
If there is not enough room on the media, delete
unnecessary data to increase the amount of open space or
change the media.
•
If the maximum number of recordable takes or take
numbers has been reached, change the recording folder.
•
If the total number of files, folders and other items inside
the recording folder is great, change the recording folder.
8
Changed settings are forgotten.
•
This unit backs up the settings every time they are changed.
Backup can fail depending on when the power is turned
off. Do not turn the power off immediately after changing
a setting.
8
There is noise.
•
Confirm that the connection cables do not have contact
issues.
8
“Name Full” appears when editing a name.
•
Due to file system limitations, 255 is the maximum number
of characters (half-width) that can be used in folder and file
names, as well as other text fields. In addition, the full path
on the
BROWSE
screen is also limited to 255 characters.
8
Cannot create a new folder.
•
Confirm that a folder with the same name does not already
exist.
•
New folders cannot be created if the space open on the
media is low. Delete unnecessary data and then create a
folder.
8
The SSD/HDD case is not recognized properly when
it is connected to a computer.
8
The SSD/HDD case is recognized properly by a
computer, but it stops working when writing files.
•
The USB bus power supply might be insufficient.
Use the included USB cable to supply power from 2
computer USB ports.
If it does not work properly even when using the included
cable, the power supply capacity of the USB ports
themselves might be insufficient.
In this case, load the SSD/HDD case into the unit, and follow
the procedures in “Connecting an SSD/HDD to a computer”
on page 49 to connect to the computer.
•
If you use a commercially-available USB cable, the SSD/
HDD might not function properly due to insufficient power
supply caused by the resistance of the cable. Use the
included USB cable.
