3 – Connections
This section describes how the DM-4800 connects to other equipment in your studio.
Since the DM-4800 is extremely “soft” in terms of the internal routing and patching, it is unlikely that you
will need to spend a lot of time connecting and disconnecting equipment once you have your setup in place.
A patchbay is also probably less necessary with the
DM-4800 than with many other mixers. See “Rout-
ing” on page 59 for full details of how the routing
and assignment are managed.
The illustration above provides an overview of the
way in which the rear panel connections are
arranged.
