Slot card configuration
As mentioned, you can expand the capabilities of the
DM-4800 with the optional slot cards available.
These cards are as follows:
IF-AN/DM providing eight channels each of A/D
and D/A conversion. Referred to on screen as
AD/DA
Card
. Can be installed in any of the four slots.
The parameters available allow the viewing (but not
the setting) of the word length (for input and output)
and the eight output tracks associated with the card.
IF-AE/DM providing eight channels of input and
output in AES/EBU format. Referred to on screen as
AES3 Card
. Can be installed in any of the four slots.
The inputs and outputs can be set independently for
normal operation or double-speed operation.
An on-screen
DETAIL
button allows the viewing of
information related to each of the four stereo input
and output channels (a popup appears on screen).
MUTE DEFEAT
can be enabled or disabled for each of
the four channels (see above for details of this).
The current status of the input and output channels is
also shown on the screen.
IF-TD/DM providing eight channels of digital I/O
in TDIF-1 format. Referred to on screen as
TDIF-1
Card
. Can be installed any of the four slots.
IF AD/DM providing eight channels of digital I/O
in ADAT “lightpipe”. Referred to on screen as
ADAT
Card
. Can be installed in any of the four slots.
IF-FW/DM Provides 24 channels of audio I/O in
each direction over an IEEE.1394 interface (as well
as carrying MIDI to and from a host computer).
Referred to on screen as
FW Card
. Can be installed in
slot 1 or slot 3.
IF-SW/DM Provides facilities for analog surround
monitoring setups, including downmixing and bass
management facilities, master SPL settings, etc. Referred to on screen as
SRND MONITOR Card
.
