INT MIC MONO L/R signals of built-in mics are mixed and
recorded in mono
EXT IN 1 Mono recording with external mics or
equipment
EXT IN 1/2 Stereo recording with external mics or
equipment

DUAL LVL

9 Use the + and – buttons to set the input level of the
second file in dual recording.
Setting range:
–6dB
(default value) to
–12dB

LVL CTRL

functions for the second file in dual recording.
LVL CTRL Explanation
OFF (default value) No level control
PEAK REDUCTION
If the input sound is too loud, the input level
is automatically lowered to a suitable level.
This function makes handling dicult input
level settings easier.
You can still raise the input level manually.
AUTO LVL
Low input levels are raised and high input
levels are lowered automatically, making this
useful for recording meetings, for example.
In this mode, you cannot raise the input level
manually.
LIMITER
This prevents distortion if the input level
becomes too loud suddenly. This is useful
for live performances and other recordings
when extreme volume changes occur.
In this mode, you can still raise the input level
manually even when recording.
