TASCAM HS-20
10 – Internal settings
I/O page
View the synchronization signal status and set timecode output
on this page.
NOTE
If an optional SY-2 has not been installed, the items will be
shaded and cannot be set.
STATUS
This shows the status of synchronization signals.
TIMECODE IN:
When timecode is input, the timecode frame rate is
shown.
WORD/VIDEO IN:
This shows WORD, VIDEO or TriLevel if a synchronization
signal is detected at the input.
TC Out Mode
Use these buttons to set the timecode output mode.
GenOut button:
Timecode is output from the internal timecode
generator.
PlayOut button (default):
In timeline mode, the timecode time for playback and
recording is output. During playback in take and playlist
modes, the timecode recorded in the file is output.
Remote settings (REMOTE SETUP)
Make settings for the PARALLEL, RS-232C, RS-422, NETWORK
and FTP connectors on this screen.
The REMOTE SETUP screen has 6 pages: GENERAL, PARALLEL,
RS-232C, RS-422, NETWORK and FTP.
Touch the tabs at the bottom of the screen to open the corre-
sponding page.
GENERAL page
Make the external remote controller settings on this page.
FADER MODE
Allows the fader on an external TASCAM RC-HS20PD remote
controller (sold separately) to be enabled or disabled. When
set to Disable, the internal fader is fixed at 0 dB.
Setting buttons: Disable, Enable (default)
FADER Start MODE
Set whether or not fader starting, which allows you to start
playback by raising the fader from ∞ when in playback
standby, is enabled when the fader start function of an
external TASCAM RC-HS20PD remote controller (sold
separately), for example, is on.
Setting buttons: Disable, Enable (default)
FADER Stop MODE
Set whether or not fader stopping, which allows you to put
playback into standby by lowering the fader to ∞ during
playback standby, is enabled when the fader start function
of an external TASCAM RC-HS20PD remote controller (sold
separately), for example, is on.
Setting buttons: Disable, Enable (default)
NOTE
If both the FADER Start MODE and FADER Stop MODE items
are set to Disable, the fader start function of the external
TASCAM RC-HS20PD remote controller (sold separately) will
be turned off automatically, and the FADER START indicator
will turn off. In this state, if you touch the Fader Start key
on the TASCAM RC-HS20PD remote controller, a “Cannot
Change Now. Fixed in current mode” warning appears in a
pop-up window.
RC-HS20PD ONLINE KEY RECORD
This sets whether or not the ONLINE key of a TASCAM
RC-HS20PD remote controller (sold separately) can be used
for recording operations.
Setting buttons: Disable (default), Enable
NOTE
When this is set to “Enable”
•
Press the RC-HS20PD ONLINE key when stopped to put
the unit into recording standby. The RC-HS20PD ONLINE
key lights when in recording standby.
•
In recording standby, press the RC-HS20PD PLAY key to
start recording.
