9 − Checking Service Data and Restoring Default Settings
Checking service data
Use the following menu items to check service data.
1. Press the MENU key on the main unit or the remote
control.
2. Use the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the +/-
keys on the remote control to select “PLAY TIME?”
or “REC_TIME?”.
3. Press the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the
ENTER key on the remote control.
PLAY_TIME Shows the total playback time of the MD
deck
REC_TIME Shows the total recording time of the MD
deck
Restore settings to their defaults
Various settings can be restored to their factory defaults.
1. With no disc loaded, press the MENU key on the
main unit or the remote control.
2. Use the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the +/–
keys on the remote control to select “F_PRESET?”
3. Press the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the
ENTER key on the remote control.
“Sure?” appears.
4. Press the MULTI JOG dial on the main unit or the
ENTER key on the remote control to restore various
settings to their factory defaults.
NOTE
Do not turn OFF the power until "Complete" appears

on the display.
PLAY_TIME (total playback time) and REC_TIME (total
•
recording time) will not be restored.
