12 TC ICON DOCK Quick Start Guide 13
Controller Installation
After mounting the Desktop Controllers securely into the TC ICON DOCK:
1. Connect the supplied power adapter to the TC ICON DOCK.
2. Connect the USB from the TC ICON DOCK to your computer. There are no drivers to install. The TC ICON DOCK is based on standard and proven USB-hub
technology and therefore integrates seamlessly with all MAC and Windows computers.
3. Check that the installed controllers are all operating correctly with your DAW.
4. If no controllers are working, check that the supplied power adapter is connected correctly. Check that the USB cable is correctly inserted to the unit
and the computer.
5. If any individual controllers are not operating, unplug all connections from the TC ICON DOCK, and check the USB connections to the controller.
Operation
Follow the instructions below to install TC ICON Desktop Controllers into the TC ICON DOCK.
CAUTION: Make sure that the power supply adapter and USB connections are unplugged from the unit before proceeding. The TC ICON DOCK is only compatible with
TC ICON Desktop Controllers. No other items shall be installed. All unused spaces must be lled with blank plates supplied, to prevent access to live circuits and possible
damage to the PCB due to electrostatic discharge, or dust and moisture.
1. On the front edge rail, loosen the 3 screws by 2 or 3 mm, but do not remove the screws. Move the front edge rail out enough to allow the
Desktop Controller to be tted.
2. Remove the protective plastic cover from the closest USB connector and plug it carefully into the USB port of the Desktop Controller.
It is a Micro USB B; take care to insert it correctly.
CAUTION: Leave the protective covers on all unused USB connectors.

3. Tuck in the USB cable so it does not get pinched. Insert the Controller’s top edge into the groove in the top rail of the Dock. Lower the bottom edge
of the Controller, ready for the front edge rail to slide back over it.
4. CAUTION: Add the supplied blank plates in all unused spaces.
Note: To help secure the blank plates, add a strip of the supplied self-adhesive tape under the edge of the plate going into the top rail groove.
5. Tighten the 3 screws so the front edge rail covers the Controller bottom edges.

6. Add a supplied screw in the bottom panel for each installed Controller. Note: You may ne-tune the position for even and equal spacing between the controllers,
before tightening the bottom screws.
