Quick Installation Guide

If you want to import the PPPoE user name and password from your original router, start from Step 1. Otherwise,
start from Step 2.
I. Connect your router
Method 1: Connect your WiFi-enabled device (such as a smart phone) to the new router’s WiFi network using
the SSID labeled on the bottom of the router.
II. Connect your devices to the new router
Start a web browser on the device connected to the router. Enter www.tclwifi.net or 192.168.1.1 in the
address bar, and press Enter.
Enter the login password, and click Login. The default login information can be found on the Button Label
of the router.
Click Start.
III. Set up the new router for internet access LED indicators

Step 1: Import your PPPoE user name and password from your original router.
Power on your original and new routers.
Connect the WAN port of the original router to the LAN port (port 1, 2 or IPTV/3) of the new router using an Ethernet cable.
After the LED indicator of the new router blinks fast for 8 seconds, the PPPoE user name and password are imported to your
new router successfully.
Remove the original router.
Step 2: Connect your new router to the internet.
Power on the new router.
Connect the WAN port of the new router to the LAN port of your modem or the Ethernet jack using an Ethernet cable. The LED indicator
blinks fast for 3 seconds.

− “隐藏网络”未勾选。
− 无线名称没有包含中文字符。
问6：为什么手机搜索不到路由器的5GHz WiFi信号？
− 只有兼容5GHz网络的设备才能搜索到5GHz无线网络。
− 请用网线将电脑连接到路由器的1、2或IPTV/3口，然后登录到路由器管理页面，进入无线设置 无线名称与密码页面，检查
是否开启了“双频合一”功能：
如果已开启，则5GHz无线网络名称与2.4GHz一致。
如果没有开启，且手机可以搜索到其他5GHz无线网络，请参考问5的方法解决。
下文提到的“新路由器”、“路由器”均指代本指南所在包装盒内的路由器。

常见问题解答
问1：访问www.tclwifi.net或192.168.1.1无法登录到路由器管理页面，怎么办？
若通过手机等无线设备登录：
− 请确保已成功连接路由器的WiFi。
− 使用手机登录时，请确保已关闭手机数据流量。
若通过电脑登录：
− 请在浏览器地址栏（非搜索栏）输入www.tclwifi.net或192.168.1.1。
− 请确保电脑已连接到路由器的1、2或IPTV/3口，且网线连接正常，无松动现象。
− 请确保电脑已设为自动获得IP地址，自动获得DNS服务器地址。
若经过上述操作仍然无法登录，请将路由器恢复到出厂设置。方法：路由器正常运行时，按住复位按钮（WPS/RST）约8秒，当指示灯
快闪时松开，路由器将会恢复出厂设置。
问2：设置完成后，连接到路由器的手机或电脑不能上网，怎么办？
首先，请尝试使用以下方法解决：
− 确认路由器WAN口已通过网线连接到Modem（猫）或宽带网口。
− 如果指示灯慢闪，请登录路由器的管理页面，进入外网设置页面，确保“联网方式”符合您的实际上网环境。可参考下表判断联网方式

FAQ
Q1: I cannot log in to the web UI of the router by entering 192.168.1.1 or www.tclwifi.net, what should I do?
A1: Try the following solutions and log in again:
Ensure that you enter 192.168.1.1 or www.tclwifi.net in the address bar, not the search bar.
Ensure that your computer is connected to port 1, 2 or IPTV/3 properly. And your computer is set to Obtain an IP address
automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
Ensure that your wireless device is connected to the router’s default SSID or the SSID you set.
Clear the cache of your web browser.
Replace the web browser. Google Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 8 (or later) is recommended.
Replace your computer or wireless device.
Reset the router.
Q2: I cannot access the internet after the configuration, what should I do?
A2: Try the following solutions:
Ensure that the WAN port of the router is connected to the internet properly.
When the LED indicator blinks slowly, log in to the web UI of the router, navigate to the Internet Settings page, and follow the
on-screen instructions to solve it.
If your wired devices cannot access the internet:
− Check if your computer is connected to port IPTV/3, 1 or 2 properly.
− Check if your computer is set to obtain an IP address automatically.
If your wireless devices cannot access the internet:
− Check if your wireless devices are connected to the WiFi network of the router with the SSID you set.
− Change your WiFi name and WiFi password. Then try again.
Q3: How to reset the router?
A3: Try the following methods:
When the router is working normally, hold down the WPS/RST button for about 8 seconds, then release it when the LED indicator
blinks fast. The router is reset successfully.
Log in to the web UI of the router, navigate to the Administration > Device Management page, click the Reset button and follow
the on-screen instructions to reset it.
Q4: How to change my WiFi names and passwords?
A4: Log in to the web UI of the router on your wired or wireless device, navigate to WiFi Settings > WiFi Name& Password Page, and
follow the on-screen instructions to customize your WiFi names and passwords.
Q5: Why cannot my phone find the 5 GHz signal?
A5: Only devices supporting 5 GHz signal can find and connect to the 5 GHz network.
