Proxy settings As with a PC, the http proxy settings are used
to configure Java network settings for
operators that do not offer a direct Internet
connection. These settingts are defined as
follows:
1) "Proxy activation": whether or not to use
a proxy server for Java network connections.
2) "Proxy address": address of the proxy
server (provided by the operator).
3) "Proxy port": port number of the proxy
server (provided by the operator).
4) "Login": user name.
5) "Password": user password.
The login and password (provided by the operator) are not
always necessary to establish a network connection via the
proxy server.

13.3 Java settings
Auto launch
Allows you to set the automatic launch of JAVA On or Off. When On, a
JAVA application will be automatically launched right after it was installed.
Network access
Network account Allows you to select one of the data profiles
you have defined in Call services/ Network
(see page 66). In the list that appears, select the
connection setting of your choice and press
to confirm.
Bearer Allows you to select the type of network used
by the selected profile when launching a
connection.
GSM or GPRS:your cellphone will only use
the GSM or the GPRS network for WAP
connections.
GPRS first:your cellphone will first try to
connect to the GPRS network, then to the GSM
network if the GPRS network isn’t available
when connecting.
DNS address Allows you to enter the DNS address of the
external data network you want to connect to.
