1. SCOPE

1.1. Content

This specification covers perform ance, tests and quality requirements for AMP-LATCH* Novo assem bly

flat cable round conductor connector receptacles.

1.2. Connector Assem bly Definition

Receptacle contacts crim ped to .050 inch centerline ribbon cable, conductors (28 and 26 solid and 28

and 26 stranded) AW G. Com plete assem blies m ate to .025 inch square posts on .100 inch centerline

with equivalent post length of .210 ± .035 inch.

1.3. Qualification

W hen tests are perform ed on subject product line, procedures specified Figure 1 shall be used. All

inspections shall be perform ed using applicable inspection plan and product drawing.

1.4. Successful qualification testing on the subject product line was com pleted on 06Jun91. The

Qualification Test Report num ber for this testing is 501-45. Additional testing was com pleted on

31Oct08. This docum entation is on file at and available from Engineering Practices and Standards

(EPS).

2. APPLICABLE DOCUM ENTS

The following documents form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. Unless

otherwise specified, latest edition of the document applies. In the event of conflict between

requirem ents of this specification and product drawing, product drawing shall take precedence. In the

event of conflict between requirem ents of this specification and referenced documents, this specification

shall take precedence.

108-40000 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1. Qualification Testing A. Sam ple Selection Connector housings and contacts shall be prepared in accordance with applicable Instruction Sheets and shall be selected at random from current production. All test groups shall consist of a m inim um of 6 connectors. Five contact circuits in each connector shall be random ly selected and identified, unless otherwise specified, these contacts shall be used for all m easurem ents. B.
