1. INTRODUCTION
This specification covers the requirements for application of Heavy Duty Stamped and Formed (HDSF) Size 16
Pin and Socket Contacts. These contacts will accept a wire size range of 14--20 AWG and are available with or
without an insulation support barrel. The contacts have a current rating of 13 amps and an operating
temperature of --40C to 120C[--40F to 248F]. The application requirements are applicable to hand or
automatic machine crimping tools.
