6. Bellmouth
The front and rear bellmouths result from the protrusion of the metal of the wire barrel after the crimping
process. The dimensions must not exceed the limits shown in Figure 4.
7. Effective Crimp Length
Effective crimp length is defined as that portion of the wire barrel, excluding bellmouth, which is fully
formed by the crimping tool; it is shown in Figure 4.
