Speaker Setup (Auto) 1
The test tone for the automatic speaker setup is very loud.
Keep away from the speakers to protect your ears.
If a TV is connected to this unit, you can use the OSD (on-screen
display) to set up the unit.
Make sure your TV is connected to the receiver and turned on.
Connect a microphone to the MIC jack on the rear
panel, and set it up on your listening position.
Press the OSD button.
Select “SPEAKER SETUP” and “AUTO” using the ENTER
button.
Check the options.
Number of available speakers
Press the 5 or b button (or the SPEAKER SETUP button of
the main unit) to select the number of speakers connected
to the unit.
Subwoofer
Press the t button (or the SELECT button of the main
unit) to select Yes or No.
When a powered sub-woofer is connected, select Yes.
(“S” appears on the right side of the display.)
Cut off frequency
Press the g button (or the SELECT button of the main
unit) repeatedly.
You can change the setting from 40 to 130 Hz in 10 Hz
steps. The default setting is 80 Hz.

Note
It is possible to use the automatic speaker setup function
without the OSD, though it is rather difficult.
Instead of step and , hold down the SPEAKER
SETUP button for more than 1 second.
“SET ALL S” appears on the display.

If you want to cancel the automatic speaker setup function,
hold down the SPEAKER SETUP button for more than 1
second once again.
