Safety Precautions z Do not disassemble, repair or modify the player by yourself. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only. z Keep the player clean and never store it close to heat sources or dirty, humid or rainy places and avoid direct sunlight. z If the surface is dirty, please clean it with soft cloth wet with clean water or soft cleaning fluids and never clean the case with alcohol or aggressive diluents. z Never use the player in extremely dry environment to avoid static discharging.
Earphone z Never use the player during driving a car or using other vehicles to avoid traffic accidents. This is also content of the law of some countries. Even while walking it may be dangerous especially when crossing the street. Please do not listen in extremely high volume to avoid any dangers. Wherever potential risks may arise, please do not use the player to ensure your safety. z Hearing experts advise against the constant use of personal stereos played at high volume.
Important z Please disconnect the player from PC properly to avoid data loss. z Battery service life may be various from different using conditions, manufacturer and manufacturing time. z Avoid losses of data by regularly making backups of your data. z Supplied or connected to units cabling is subject to wearout. Especially carrying it in trouser pockets or other insufficient carrying cases, bending it, strong pulling, or buckling it, may lead to premature failure and to damages.

Before Using Battery Installation 1. Please ensure that the player is switched off. 2. Remove the USB lid. 3. Remove the battery cover on the back of the player by sliding it in the direction of the arrow as shown on the player. 4. Insert an AAA battery into the battery compartment. Ensure to insert the battery properly according to the polarity shown in the battery compartment. 5. Push the battery cover back into the player.
Removing the Player From the PC Safely 1. Left click the icon at the right hand corner of the taskbar. 2. Click the pop-up mini-window with message of “Safely Remove the USB Mass Storage Device – Drive (X:)”. 3. When you are prompted to remove the device, pull out the plug of the player. Special reminder: Do not disconnect the USB cable when data is being transmitted between PC and player, which may damage data or cause data losses in the player.

Power On/Off Make sure the battery is sufficient and the headphone is connected correctly. To turn on the player, press and hold the button (11). To turn off the player, press and hold the button (11). Lock/Unlock All Buttons All buttons of the player will be locked after you do not use it in a certain interval of time (you can set the time in setup menu). This prevents you from accidental pressing the buttons while using the player on the move. Press and hold the buttons to unlock all buttons.
Main Menu 1. In standby or playing mode, press and hold the button to enter the main menu. 2. Press the Right or Left button to select: Music, Record, Voice, Radio, Folder, and Setting. 3. Then press the button to enter the desired setting. Main menu items Description Music Play songs. Record Voice Recording. Voice Listen to recordings. Radio (MP-115-FM only) Listen to FM radio; FM recording. Folder View folders Setting Customize the settings of your player.
Lyrics The player will displays the lyrics automatically, if there is a lyrics file (.lrc) whose name is the same as the music file, and they are placed in the same folder. Using the Music Function Menu The music function menu allows you to manage all factors of listening, such as repeating tracks, selecting equalizers, and so on. Press the button while listening to music. The music function menu appears on the screen. Press the Left or Right button to search a menu item.
Managing audio files While music playing is stopped, press the button, there will pop up a window for you to manage audio files of your player. Press the Left or Right button to search a menu item. Press the button to confirm the selection. Explorer To view all audio files from local folder. Select an button audio file or a folder, and then press to select the file and enter music playing mode. Delete file To delete current file. Select YES or NO, and then button to confirm.

The Voice Menu Repeat Normal Play all voice files in order once. Title Repeat Repeat the current or selected voice file. Repeat All Repeat all voice files. Random Play all voice files at random. Intro Each voice file only playing 10 Sec. Tempo -8, -7, -6, -5, -4, -3,-2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Exit Exit and return to voice-playing interface. Managing voice files While voice playing is stopped, press the button, there will pop up a window for you to manage voice files of your player.
FM Radio (MP-115-FM only) Listening to FM Radio Important: Always connect your headphone to the headphone jack, since the headphone cable serves as antenna for the internal radio. 1. Access Main menu by holding . 2. Press Left or Right button in the main menu to select “Radio” and press button. While listening to FM radio, you can: z Skipping channels: Press Right or Left button to skip to previous/next channel. z Adjust Volume: Press Up or Down button to increase/decrease the volume.
Using FM radio submenu While listening to FM radio, press submenu. button to enter FM radio Press the Left or Right button to search a menu item. Press the button to confirm the selection. Save To save a station. Select YES or NO, and then button to confirm. press Record To start FM recording. Press button to start FM button to save the recording. Press and hold recording and return to FM radio mode. Delete To delete current channel. Select YES or NO, and then press button to confirm.
Changing Player Settings The system settings let you customize and configure your player. 1. In standby or playing mode, press and hold to access the main menu. 2. Use Right or Left button to select “Setting”, and then press to enter setting mode. 3. Press the Right or Left button to select a setting item. 4. Then press the button to change the setting. 5. Use the Right or Left button to select a value. 6. Press the button to confirm. Or press the button to exit and not confirm.
Firmware Update Method Prior to upgrading the player you should check in the download area of the TEAC website www.teac.de if there are newer versions of the firmware available for your player. Step 1: Decompressing files you could find picture 1 Picture 1 Step 2: Choose "Factory4.
