Charging the Battery The device has a rechargeable built-in lithium polymer battery. It is charged via USB connection. You are required to charge it when you use it for the first time. To charge the battery, connect the larger end of the USB cable to the USB interface of PC, and connect the other smaller end of the USB cable to the USB interface of this player. The device is connected to PC and being charged. If you want to know the charge progress, disconnect the device safely by clicking the “ ” icon.

Playing Music Enter the Music Mode Press and hold the RETURN button to display the main menu. Use the or button to select “Music” menu, and press the button to confirm selection. Now you are in the MUSIC mode, refer music playing to the basic operations. Lyrics This player supports the lyrics function with MP3 playback. Important Lyrics file format has to be *.LRC. File name has to be the same as the songs name. Lyrics file has to be placed in the folder of the song.
Note: This player can only play AVI videos. For other formats, you need to use the converting tool included on the driver CD to convert them. For detail information about the converter, see AVI Converter Quick User Guide on the CD. Viewing Photos To view photos, 1. Press and hold the RETURN button to display the main menu. 2. Select “Photo” and press the button to confirm. 3. Press the V+ or V– button to select a folder or image, and press to confirm. 4.
Using Bookmarks 1. Go to the page that you want to mark. 2. Press and hold the REC button to show up a “Save BookMark” window for saving bookmark. V+ or V– button to select a line of the menu and press button to confirm. The bookmark is saved. It starts from the the first line of current page. 4. To read the page that you marked, shortly press the REC button to show up the “Load BookMark” window. Select the bookmark and press the button to confirm. You will be guided to that page. 3.
Play Recordings To play the recording, switch to the MUSIC mode, enter folder navigate mode, search and play the recording file. Deleting File To delete a file: 1. In the folder navigation mode, select the file that you want to delete. 2. Press and hold the REC button until a dialogue box shows up. 3. Use the or button to select “Yes” and press the button to confirm. FM Radio On the main menu, select “FM Radio” and press the RETURN button to turn on the FM radio. Search Station 1.

SD/MMC Slot After connecting the player to the computer, you will find two portable devices. One is the built-in memory device and the other one is the device associated to the SD/MMC card. This player supports SD/MMC card capacities from 128MB to 2GB. The player supports direct playing of songs on SD or MMC cards. Insert the card into the slot. The contacts have to be arranged in the direction of the screen.
Customizing Settings To customize the player settings: 1. On the main menu, select the “Settings” item and press the button to enter the system settings mode. 2. Press the V+ or V– button to select setting item and press the button to confirm or press the RETURN button to cancel. Firmware Upgrade (Windows Vista coming soon) You can upgrade the player to get the newest version of software by the following steps: Installation of the Upgrade Tool 1. Insert the software CD into the CD-ROM of a computer. 2. Run “custom updater setup 2.61.2.exe” to install the upgrade tool. 3. Follow on-screen prompts to complete installation. Upgrading the Firmware 1. Select and run the upgrading tool. 2.
Convert and Play Video Files (Windows Vista coming soon) Install the AVI Converter 1. Insert the provided installation disk into the CD-ROM drive, select and run “AVIConverter package Setup.exe” program, enter installation interface, then click [Next] button to display as follows: 2. Click [I Agree]. 3. After selecting the installation routine, click [Install] button until the completion of installation. 4. After the installation, click [Finish] button to finish the software installation.
Conversion This player can convert the formats RM, VOB, DAT, RMVB into AVI video format via the provided video convert software. 1. Run the “AVIConverter” program. 2. Click and select the input file. At this point, file name will not be changed except for the extension (.AVI). Information on both the Input and the Output file will be displayed in the window. 3. To save the Output File with a different name, type in desired name at “Target File Name”. Click , you can select other files.
4. Click to convert entire file. 5. After finishing the conversion (Progress = 100%, Status = Ok), click to exit. 6. The successfully converted AVI video file can be played.
Converting Image File (Windows Vista coming soon) Converting Steps Run the ACDSee program, select the image that you want to convert, and click “Tool” Æ ”Convert”. Select “JPG JPEG JFIF Format” and then click “Options”.

Troubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Solution The LCD displays nothing when the device is started. Battery is too low. Charge the battery. The volume is too low. Adjust the volume. Bad audio file.
