• Do not use where hydrostatic pressure, excessive moisture vapor emissions
and/or high alkalinity (>9 pH) exist.
• Do not wet-clean carpet for 30 days after installation.
• Not for use when the substrate temperature is below 50°F or above 90°F.
• New concrete should be allowed to cure a minimum of 28 days.
• Not recommended for installation over cushion-backed or unprepared
embossed sheet goods, lauan and unprimed gypsum.

5. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Substrate Preparation
Surface must be sound, smooth, clean and dry. Any cracks and depressions must
be patched using a cementitious patching compound. Ensure that the surface
is free of waterproofing compounds, sealers, curing agents, oil, grease, wax,
adhesive residue or any other contaminant that may impede adhesion.
Note: When applying carpet or vinyl floor goods to metal substrates, the metal
must be coated with a primer (recommended for use on metal) compatible with
the adhesive to provide adequate bonding. CAUTION! Adhesive applied to a bare
metal surface can cause rapid oxidation or other chemical reaction.
All concrete substrates must be tested for moisture and pH prior to flooring
installation. The industry standard methods for testing moisture are ASTM
F2170 (RH) or ASTM F1869 (Calcium Chloride-MVER). Consult floor covering
manufacturer for acceptable RH or MVER. Test for pH in accordance with ASTM
F710. pH range of 7-9 is required. Moisture vapor emissions not to exceed
6 lbs./1000 ft
2
/ 24 hours when using the anhydrous calcium chloride test. If you
are using a Relative Humidity (RH) test with In Situ Probes the test results should
not exceed 82% RH.
Application
Consult carpet manufacturer’s installation instructions and trowel
recommendations. Apply only the amount of adhesive that can be covered in
20 minutes. Direct sunlight accelerates adhesive drying time and can minimize
the adhesive transfer to carpet backing. After installing, roll the carpet in both
directions. A minimum temperature of 50°F must be maintained for 48 hours
