Troubleshooting table Following table may help you in determining the kind of problem and provides some 
plausible solutions:
Problem Solution
SpeedTouch™570 does not work.
(none of the LEDs lights up)
Make sure the SpeedTouch™570 is 
plugged into an electrical outlet.
Make sure the power switch on the 
SpeedTouch™570 is turned on.
Make sure that you are using the correct 
power supply for your SpeedTouch™570 
device.
Wireless client can not join the Speed-
Touch™570 WLAN environment.
Make sure that the WLAN client is 
configured for the correct wireless 
settings (DSSS, radio channel, WEP).
The SpeedTouch™570 uses 128-bits 
WEP encryption, but the WLAN client 
only supports 64-bits encryption.
In case registration is enabled, you must 
press the 'Registration' button to register 
the WLAN client.
Make sure that the SpeedTouch™570 
Association Control List is not locked, i.e. 
allows new WLAN client registrations.
No wireless LAN connectivity. Make sure that the WLAN client adapter 
is correctly installed on your PC.
Make sure that the WLAN client adapter 
is configured for the correct wireless 
settings.
Make sure that the WLAN client adapter 
and SpeedTouch™570 share the same IP 
subnet.
Poor wireless connectivity or reach. Choose automatic channel selection or 
be careful to select a DSSS channel that 
doesn't interfere with other radio chan-
nels.
Check the location of the Speed-
Touch™570 in the building.
No wired LAN connectivity.
Ethernet port link integrity/Activity LED 
does not light up. 
Make sure that the cable is securely 
connected to the 10/100Base-T port.
Make sure that you are using the correct 
cable type for your Ethernet equipment.
