17 Troubleshooting
If the device does not operate as intended, check the following tables for information.
17.1 General problems
Symptom Possible cause/remedy
The device cannot be switched on. The device is not being supplied with power. Aach the mains adapter
correctly to the mains socket. Select another socket if necessary.
No sound can be heard. Increase the volume. The incorrect source may have been selected.
The mute function may be active.
The display does not switch on. Switch the device o, unplug from the mains briefly, switch the device
back on.
Interference can be heard. A mobile phone or another device is emiing interfering radio waves in
the vicinity of the device. Remove the mobile phone or device from the
vicinity of the radio.
Other operational faults,
loud noises or a malfunctioning
display are occurring.
Electronic components in the device are faulty.
Remove the mains plug. Leave the device disconnected from the power
source for approx. 10 seconds. Reconnect the device.
17.2 Problems with the remote control
Symptom Possible cause/remedy
The remote control does not work. Baeries are incorrectly inserted or are low.
Check the polarity.
Change the baeries.
IR connection interrupted.
Remove objects that are located between the remote control and the
device.
Distance too great. The max. distance to the device is approx. 4 metres.
