ENGINES WHICH ARE CERTIFIED TO COMPLY WITH CALIFORNIA AND U.S. EPA EMISSION REGULATIONS FOR ULGE ENGINES: Are certified to operate on regular unleaded gasoline / oil mix. Include the following emission control system(s): EM, TWC (if so equipped); Do not include any user adjustable features - therefore no other adjustments are need. STARTING NEVER RUN ENGINE INDOORS OR IN ENCLOSED, POORLY VENTILATED AREAS. ENGINE EXHAUST CONTAINS CARBON MONOXIDE, AN ODORLESS AND DEADLY GAS. Á ELECTRIC STARTER NOTE: If your engine is equipped with a 12V battery-operated electric starter, disregard instructions regarding power cord. A. Connect power cord to switchbox on engine. B. Plug other end of power cord (see Figure 4) into wall receptacle.
STOPPING MAINTENANCE À BEFORE STOPPING: A. Run engine for a few minutes to help dry off any moisture on engine. B. To help avoid possible freeze-up of starter, proceed as follows: RECOIL STARTER: With engine running, pull starter rope with a rapid continuous full arm stroke three or four times. NOTE: The unusual sound made by pulling starter rope will not harm engine or starter. ELECTRIC STARTER: 1. Connect power cord to switchbox, then to wall outlet. 2.
