A defrost system by weight is available in all electronic
and touch-control models. It calculates defrosting time
according to the type and weight of the food.
Automatic defrost by time is the alternative method,
available in the electronic and touch control models,
whereby power varies for a more efficient defrosting. In
the electromechanical models, defrosting is only
achieved by using fixed power levels. However, both
types of defrosting act very quickly, preventing the
opportunities for bacteria to develop.
The essence of microwave cooking or defrosting is that times are
reduced because the waves penetrate food from various directions.
The double microwaves output (D.M.O.) in some Teka models,
makes diagonal waves enter from two points which complement
the motion of the integrated rotary turntable to cook evenly, as well
as to minimise the possibility of cold zones.
